Kevin Lee Kreamer, 58, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 23, 2019.
He was born on December 1, 1960 in Cheverly, MD. He grew up mostly in Riverdale and Cottage City, Maryland. He graduated from The Diesel Institute of America in Landover, MD in 1985 and had been an automotive mechanic for the majority of his life. Working on cars was not only a profession but a passion, and even his most enjoyed pastime. He also had a special appreciation for classic cars, having owned a few throughout his life including a 1959 Chevrolet Impala, a 1956 Chevrolet Belair, a 1963 Chevrolet Box Nova, and a 1967 Mustang. The only thing he loved more than cars was spending time with his grandchildren.
As a child, Kevin spent many summers at his family’s beach cottage in Edgewater, MD. He had many fond memories of swimming and playing on the beach with his siblings and cousins. As a result, he was an avid seafood lover. If you wanted to get on his good side or see a big smile on his face, just bring him a crab cake!
He developed his love for cars at a very young age and even owned a race car or two, including a 1970 Buick GS, trying his luck many weekends at Capitol Raceway.
Kevin met Robin Burke on a blind date set up by mutual friends in the early 1980’s. They were married on January 10, 1984 in Hyattsville, MD and continued to live in Prince George’s County, MD with their three children, Ronnie, Nicole, and Kevin Jr.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, the late Lawrence I. Kreamer and Patricia A. Kreamer; and his brother, Michael S. Kreamer. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Robin, of 35 years; children, Ronnie, Nicole, and Kevin Jr.; sisters Debbie Sturgess and Tina Kreamer-Clark; brother, Timothy Kreamer; grandchildren Cheyenne, Dean, Mercedes, Jordan, Michaeyla, Johnnie IV, Charity, Kevin III, and Shawn and several nieces, nephews, cherished relatives and friends.
Visitation services will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Beall Funeral Home in Bowie, MD. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation.
