Kimberly Reyes

Kimberly Reyes was born in Bronx, NY on November 5, 2003. She died on December 21, 2023 at the age of 20. She was the first born of twins. Her sister, Katherine, shared the same syndrome that Kimberly had. Kimberly was always the more serious twin. Her attitude stood out from the very beginning. Kimberly loved music and loved when you sang to her. As a child, her serious personality was prominent.  If you did hear hear laughing, it was likely because she was being sang to or when someone was holding her while dancing. Kimberly  was a very strong person. She persevered and survived many conditions and procedures even when doctors did not expect her to pull through. She taught everyone she interacted with to be strong. Kimberly, had many adventures when she moved to MD. She was able to visit the coast and feel the sea breeze which brought her joy. Kimberly loved to party. Her syndrome never stopped her from partying with her family. She got to spend several years with her oldest brothers, her in-laws, niece and nephews. Kimberly even got to play with action figures!  Kimberly was blessed to have been loved and  cared for by her mother,  but also by her village of family and caretakers who loved her dearly. Special thanks to Waldina who took care of her in NY and Rita and Mary who took care her of her here in MD.  Kimberly is now at peace with her sister Katherine, brother Bryan and father Pedro. She will be missed dearly by her mother Silvia, older siblings Edmundo, Jose, and Dominico, Her sister in laws Rocio and Alondra, her nieces Genesis and Joelly, and her nephews Santiago and Christopher.
