On December 18,2024 in Sarasota, Florida, Larson H Jones passed away from complications related to Alzheimer's disease.

Born in Washington, DC, May 24, 1938, he spent his childhood years living in Washington, DC. Atlanta, Georgia, and several areas throughout Maryland. He served 2 years in the United States Army with most of his time served in South Korea. Larson spent his career as an Operating Engineer and was a member of The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 99. He enjoyed traveling to other countries and throughout the United States. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with family. After his retirement, he settled in Sarasota, Florida.

Larson was preceded in death by his father, Roy Howard Jones, his mother Marie Preston Jones, his sister Gerda Ryan. 

He is survived by 4 children, Elizabeth Beachy (Michael), Jonathan Jones (Dana), David Jones (Maria), and Jason Jones (Charissa). 6 grandchildren, Michael Camesi, Brooke Jones, Chase Jones, James Jones, Ashley Jones and Jason Jones Jr. He also leaves behind 3 nieces and 1 nephew, Helen Chamberlin (Christopher Jordan), Catherine Rubio (Frank), Charles Chamberlin (Marlene), Margaret Edelen (Timothy).

His service will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 Beall Funeral Home with viewing at 10 am and service at 11 am. Internment graveside service at 1 pm being held at George Washington Cemetery in Adelphi, MD.
