Laura Rose passed from this life, surrounded by her loving children. She lived through and survived a life-changing stroke at the age of 68, but was struck down by the ruthless Covid-19 virus at the age of 88. She fought it to the end.
Laura was born in NYC and grew up in Brooklyn with her loving mother Bella, father Harry, and siblings Bernie, Arlene and Mel. She was always active, fashionable and friendly. She and Lindy moved to MD in 1957 and to Bowie in 1963. She worked for many years as a cashier at Food Fair (later renamed Pantry Pride), the local grocery store. Everyone in the community knew Laura, the redhead. Laura was also a fixture at Belair Bath and Tennis. She loved the sun and being outside. She passed that love to her children.
Laura and Lindy moved into The Annapolitan Assisted Living in 2011. It was Laura's home for the last 9 years of her life. She was so well-loved there.
Laura was predeceased in death by her husband Lindy. She is survived by her daughters Ilene (Andy), Cheryl (Gregg), Lisa, and son Steve (Barbara). She was the proud grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother to 18.
She will be sorely missed.
