Laura Jean Shugarts

Laura Shugarts of Upper Marlboro, MD, formerly of Queens, NY, passed away on June 17, 2019 at the age of 58.  Laura was the adored wife of Jack Shugarts, she was also the beloved sister of John Andreola, sister-in-law Karen, nephew Nicholas, many cousins and she was a very special and devoted friend to many.   Laura received her A.A.S from LaGuardia Community College in Long Island City, NY and she was a BS, Candidate, finance/economic studies major at Bernard Baruch College, New York.

Laura worked as an Executive Assistant at several financial firms during her career in New York City; Dillon Read, Wertheim Schroeder and P. Schoenfeld Asset Management. She moved to Maryland in 2012 to marry Jack. The most important things in her life were her family and friends.  She was an incredibly kind, caring, intelligent, beautiful and loving lady who will be truly missed by all who knew her.
