Leo Russell Cummins, Jr.

Leo Russell Cummins, Jr. of Murrells Inlet, SC, passed away suddenly on November 20, 2019, in Bowie, MD, at the age of 60 years old. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Leo was born in Baltimore City, MD on December 22, 1958 to Leo R Cummins, Sr. and Geraldine A Durmer. He was the oldest of five children.

After graduating high school, he immediately joined the Army; serving until 1983. he worked numerous jobs after the Army until ending his career in Maryland with Verizon in 2003.

After moving to the Myrtle Beach area in 2004, he returned to school and obtained his nursing license from Horry Georgetown Technical College. He then worked in the Myrtle Beach area before becoming a travel nurse in numerous states across the US.

He loved his Baltimore sports teams; loved horse racing and his beloved dog COCO(Stinkpot), and her dog mother Blondie(DD).

He was predeceased by his father, Leo R. Cummins, Sr. and step-mother Elaine M. Cummins.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Kathryn(KittyFoster) Cummins and step-daughter Stephanie Corsey, of Abilene, Texas; his brothers Anthony G, and wife Robin, James S.and wife Doreen; his sisters Virginia M.and husband Charles Rinehardt and Rebecca A. and husband Christopher Richardson. He was also survived my many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

Leo will be missed by all.
