Liliane Marie (Tollon) Sullivan December 31, 1927- December 11, 2020
Liliane was born in Toulon, France. She came to the United States as a War bride, having met her future husband, William Joseph Sullivan, a lieutenant in the US army, when he was stationed in Nice, France. Theirs was a love story that would produce seven children, fifteen grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great, great, grandchild.
Liliane (Lil) loved to travel and after her husband died in 1987, she enjoyed spending time in England, Scotland and Wales. Her family often pointed to a map of the world and asked “where in the world is Grandma?” Through all her travels however, her heart was where her family was. Liliane delighted in her children and was a source of love and support to them all. She loved to hold a new baby and would sing her favorite French songs to lull them to sleep. She was a gentle yet fierce soul and she will be greatly missed by us all. Nous T’aime, Repose en paix, chere Maman. Que Dieu soit avec toi!
If you’d like to pay tribute, donations in her honor to St Judes Childrens Research Hospital @ stjude.org are very much appreciated!
