Linda B. Majlaton

Linda Lucille Burt Majlaton, 76, passed away suddenly October 8 2022. 

Born in Florida in 1946 to Ella Marie Burt and Richard Merle Burt, Linda grew up in Ohio and studied at Kent State University. It was there that she met George Majlaton, whom she married in 1965, and together they lived in Maryland and raised five children.

Linda was a shining example of a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Kind, warm, wholesome, generous, and selfless are words that can only begin to describe her character. She was adored by everyone fortunate enough to meet her, and she made sure that nobody who set foot in her home ever went hungry. She loved her cats and found immense joy in filling her life with plants & flowers, festive decorations, and toys & games for her children and grandchildren to play with.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Ella and Merle, her sister Frances Burt, and her brother Robert Burt. She is survived by her mother Clara Burt, her sister Shirley Stahl, her sister Cara Burt-Orr, her husband George, their children Liza (Ronald) Zanarotti, George Majlaton, Marc (Jennifer) Majlaton, Khalil Majlaton, and Alex (Yasmine) Majlaton, and her grandchildren Max, Raynah, Alexandra, Marc, Nicolas, and Nadia.

A funeral mass will be held on October 19, 2022 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Landover Hills, MD at 11am. Flowers may be sent to Beall Funeral Home at 6512 Crain Hwy, Bowie, MD 20715.
