Lloyd G. Plunkett, son of the late Jane Fagan and Eric G. Plunkett, was born on March 4, 1936 in Brampton, Trelawny, Jamaica.
In his adult years he later moved to Falmouth where he met and married the love of his life, Lois Plunkett on August 18, 1965. Throughout his years in Falmouth, Lloyd worked at the Trelawny Parish Council and later became a fireman at the Falmouth Trelawny Fire Department.
With encouragement from family members Lloyd immigrated to New Jersey in 1972. Lloyd worked for Worthington Pump for over 25 years as a machinist and represented his co-workers as a union rep for the Steel Workers Union. He retired in the early nineties and later became a school bus driver.
Lloyd was a devoted Christian, and a member and Deacon at Faith Gospel Tabernacle. He was also a Mason with the Oriental Lodge where he received his 33rd degree and served as NJ State Grand Marshall. He was a huge fan of baseball and was passionate about his politics. He loved to read the NJ Star Ledger and the Washington Post, especially the sports section.
Lloyd Plunkett leaves behind his siblings, Daphney, Milton, Hyacinth, Henry, Rudolph, Shuin, Debbie, and Donald; his daughters Jennifer, Morine, Karen and Michelle; his grandchildren Kevin, Chelsea, Alex, Nicole, Natalie, and William and countless nephews and nieces and a host of loving relatives and friends. Lloyd is predeceased by his parents, wife and sister, Delva Ramsey. Lloyd wove his way into our hearts and our hearts will forever be entangled.
