Louise E. Cocchiaro

April 18, 1948 — October 11, 2022

Louise Elenore Cocchiaro, 74, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 11th 2022.
Louise was born in Washington DC at Columbia Hospital for Women in 1948 to Elenore
Simmons and Coy Edward Simmons and grew up in Landover MD. She went to Duval High
School and attended Beauty School in College Park MD. She later transferred to Margie’s Mop
Shop in 1965, where she spent time at the Capital Plaza Hot Shop and met her husband Michael
P. Cocchiaro. They got married in 1969, they lived in Maryland, and raised one child, Michael
Jr. In 1972 she started her career in Real Estate in Calvert County and retired in 2002.
Louise was a shining example of what a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother should be. She
had a high moral compass and was known for her kind, warm, wholesome, generous, and selfless
character. She was adored by everyone fortunate enough to meet her and known for making sure
that nobody who set foot in her home ever went hungry. She loved her dogs (Poodle’s) of course
and found immense joy making festive decorations and playing games with her son and
grandchildren.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents Coy and Elenore, her brother Edward, and her
sister Amy. She is survived by her husband Michael and her son Michael Jr., daughter in law
Eugenia, and her grandchildren Michael III and Sofia. A viewing will be held on October 23rd,
2022 at 1:00PM to 3:00PM and October 24th, 2022 from 11am to 12pm at Beal Funeral Home
Home at 6512 Crain Hwy, Bowie, MD 20715. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her
name to Hospice of the Chesapeake at 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena Maryland 21122
