Lyndell Latrice Watts-King was born July 8, 1966 in San Diego CA. Lyn was called from labor to rest on December 17, 2022.
Lyn was married to Kenneth King of Washington D.C., unto this union two sons were born, Kendrick and Kylon King.
Lyn was a tall beautiful voluptuous woman; her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, classy and charismatic sway, lit up any room that she entered. Her welcoming spirit was just hard to miss.
After losing her husband, Lyn advocated for male mentors and good male role models for her boys while they were growing into young men. Lyn’s vision, dedication, strong morals, and values made her the only role model they needed. We can truly commend her for raising two strong and thriving gentlemen that any mother would be proud of.
Lyn’s favorite quotes were: “Learn how to listen and listen how to learn” this was the advice she gave her sons each day when they were off to school; “Living in the world today” is a phrase she used when she was advocating for a cause; “Sweet Mary Margret”; “Very good! Very good!”; “Hot Dog!”; and “Moving & Grooving” .
Lyn leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Kendrick and Kylon King (her entire world”>); brother Alfred Watts (Carolyn); sister-in-law Sharon Beausejour (Dimitri); a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents Opern and Earl Watts from Amite, LA and husband Kenneth King.
Her daily Saying: “Have a great day and a better tomorrow!”
