Lyndon A. Vermillion of Seabrook, MD passed away on Sunday, June 26th, 2022; 1 month shy of his 81st birthday. Survived by his former wife Judy Vermillion, and their children, Kenneth (Maria) Vermillion of Seabrook, MD, and Scott (Angela) Vermillion of Severn, MD; 8 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents James and Ruth Vermillion, his brothers Bill, Jim, Jack, Robert, and his sisters Liz and Betty.
Lyndon lived in the same house in Seabrook for over 52 years and was a staple in the community. He was a Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts of America, Pack Leader in Cub Scouts, and active with the Lanham Boys and Girls Club. He also coached basketball/football/baseball spanning three decades. In later years, Lyndon was a dedicated member of the College Park Moose Club and the Oddfellows. He loved to travel with his Moose Club friends, whether it be Ocean City or Italy.
Lyndon enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1958-1961, and the Army Reserves from 1961-1966. Prior to his discharge he began working for Sears and Roebuck Co as a Salesman, Catalog Manager and Automotive Manager, and continued to work for Sears until his retirement.
Family will receive visitors at Beall Funeral Home of Bowie on Thursday, June 30, from 5-7pm. Services will be held at Beall Funeral Home on Friday, July 1 @12:30pm, with interment at Fort Lincoln Cemetery on Friday, July 1 @2pm.
