Marcy W. Rindone

           Marcy Woolridge Rindone, age 56, of Crofton Maryland, left us on November 9, 2018 after a six and a half year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Marcy fought this painful disease bravely and with a smile until her passing at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena Maryland. Marcy never let the progression of the disease stop her from being the selfless, loving, and kind person she had always been.

            Marcy, a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park, was born in April 1962 to Edward and Georgia Woolridge in Clearfield, Pennsylvania. Marcy was a devoted wife and mother, scout leader, and school volunteer who also found time to pursue her creative talents by leading a successful career in Graphic Design. She was especially proud to have worked on various projects which were designed to raise funds for wounded veterans and animal shelters, among other worthy charitable causes.

            Marcy is survived by her husband of nearly 31 years, Philip Rindone Jr., her daughter Jennifer Rindone (age 27) and her son Philip Rindone III (age 22); her father Edward Woolridge, and her sisters Susan Woolridge, Joyce Phillips and Kathy Woolridge; and her furry kids Layla the Russell Terrier and Eddie the Mutt, as well as a large and loving extended family.

            In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the John Fetting Fund for Breast Cancer Prevention. Dr. Fetting was Marcy’s oncologist at the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Fetting Fund supports basic and translational breast cancer prevention research performed by or under the direct supervision of the faculty of the Johns Hopkins Breast Cancer Program.
