Marilyn Doris Bryan

Marilyn Doris Bryan passed away at 72 years of age on August 30, 2022. She grew up in Detroit, Michigan as an only child. Mar completed her Bachelor of Arts and Education at Michigan State University. She went on to teach elementary school and later retired from the Oakland County, California Department of Senior Services.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Patrick Tracy. She cherished her family Dana, Irene, Gina, Toni, Chrissy, Matt, and Laura. She was proud of her Comanche heritage. She was a direct descendant of Quanah Parker. Mar enjoyed writing correspondence, collecting stamps, traveling, reading, and donating to charitable organizations.  

In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity in memory to Marilyn. Mar often donated to her local foodbank, Mana Foodbank, Smithsonian Nation Museum of the American Indian, Native American Veterans Assistance, American Indian College Fund, Dakota Indian Foundation, Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity, and Defenders of Wildlife.
