Marilyn K. Thomas

Marilyn Kehrli Thomas, 94, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022.

She was the wife of Edward R. Thomas, Jr. (Ted), who passed away in 2015 and with whom she shared 66 years of marriage.

Born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Marilyn Grace was the daughter of Andrew C. and Jessie Lewis Kehrli. She was predeceased by her brothers, Henry Kehrli, Andrew Kehrli, and her sister, Jeane Kehrli Davies.

Marilyn received a Bachelor's degree in Home Economics from Penn State University and devoted her life to her husband and family. She supported her husband's successful career with the Campbell Soup Co. and lived in many U.S. locations and in Argentina. She and her husband spent many happy years retired in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Following her husband's death, she lived with her daughters in Maryland.

Marilyn was a devoted member of the Lutheran Church. She was happiest when with her family and especially with the children and babies in the family. She loved all aspects of homemaking, and excelled in the kitchen, garden, and at knitting and home-decorating. She spent many good times with family at the cottage at Lake Winola, Pennsylvania. Marilyn enjoyed traveling and attending Penn State football games with her husband, but above all, she enjoyed just being at home with her beloved husband Ted. Marilyn was also an accomplished pianist and organist. 

Marilyn is survived by and will be greatly missed and forever in the hearts of her daughters, Marilyn Dubsky (the late William), Lucinda Glushakow (Mark), Melissa Carduff (David), and Jennifer Mendez (Wally); 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Robert and George Kehrli.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at Messiah Lutheran Church, 5600 Old Washington Road, Sykesville, Maryland, 21784 on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11 am.

Interment will be private.
