“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” — Helen Keller

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marion Denise Boston, who transitioned on April 6, 2025, at the age of 69, in Annapolis, Maryland. Born on November 4, 1955, in North Carolina, Marion spent much of her life in Evanston, Illinois, before relocating to Bowie, Maryland, to be closer to family.

A dynamic, compassionate, and persistent woman, Marion began her professional journey at Boeing, where she worked in the manufacturing plant, contributing to their legacy of innovation and precision. Later in life, she followed her heart into caregiving, dedicating herself to nurturing children and caring for elders—demonstrating her deeply giving spirit.

Marion is survived by her daughter, Alicia Hall, and was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Boston,  (April 5, 2004.) She leaves behind a host of beloved family members and friends, including her “Golden Girls” roommates and cousins, Ann Delores Coleman and Ann Norman as well as her beloved cousins and besties Shealyn and Janae Little. Known for her warmth, resilience, humor, curiosity, beautiful smile, and strength, Marion touched the lives of many.

              Legacy of Love

“You can shed tears that she is gone, Or you can smile because she lived. You can close your eyes and pray she’ll come back, Or you can open your eyes and see all she left behind.

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her, Or it can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live in yesterday, Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she’s gone, Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, Be empty and turn your back. Or you can do what she would want: Smile, open your heart, love, and go on.”- Anonymous
