Edgewater - Marlene M. Noshay (Mar Star), age 75, passed away on December 24th surrounded by family and friends.
Marlene is survived by her daughter Andrea Vennell (Tammy) as well as her favorite grand dog Jax. She is also survived by her sister Elaine Lindberg (Johnnie) as well as her brother Robert Noshay (Helen). She is also survived by her nephew David Lindberg (Rebecca) and their children Zoe and Everett. She is predeceased by her parents David and Helen Noshay.
Marlene grew up in Philadelphia and both her parents were hair stylists. She followed their lead and perfected the same craft for over 40 years. She worked at Robert Andrews in Crofton for many years and more recently worked at Mixed Elements and John James Salon.
Marlene loved to travel with friends and had a deep love for music that she shared with her daughter. In fact, she was first chair clarinet in her high school orchestra.
She also loved to “hand dance” at many local spots and met a lot of friends there.
We will miss her laugh and the sparkle that she brought to our lives.
A memorial service will be held at Beall’s funeral home in Bowie, MD at 10:30am on January 15th. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Hospice of the Chesapeake.
