Mary C. Doyle

On March 27, 2022, Mary Catherine Doyle passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family. She was 85 years old.

Mary was born August 12, 1936, in Hebron, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Wiedel. Mary was the youngest of eight children - vivacious and a little mischievous. On May 10, 1958, she married Art Doyle, the love of her life. Mary and Art were blessed with five children and were always on the go supporting and coaching each child at their numerous sporting events. Her beloved husband of 50 years preceded her in death on April 20, 2007.

Mary was a devout Catholic who loved the Lord, the Blessed Mother, her family, church, and community. She cared deeply for and prayed fervently for her family, friends, and neighbors. She was a proud and loving mother who is survived by her five children and spouses (Dennis, Anna, Diane, Scott, Kathy, Anthony, Michael (Mom’s favorite), Katy, Tom, and Peggy), twelve grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her so much joy and she enjoyed watching them grow. Mary was also a fun-loving aunt and great aunt to many.

We are so blessed that God chose us as her circle of love. While Mary will be missed by many, we are thankful that she is again in the arms of her husband, Art.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7. Mary and Art were devout in their Catholic faith and always used this verse to depict the importance and love of their religion in their life.

The visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5 from 4-7 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church on 12010 Woodmore Road, Mitchellville, Md. 20721. The funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. A luncheon will follow the mass in the church hall.
