Mechelle T. Myers

Mechelle T.  Myers was born May 24, 1966, in Washington, DC, the daughter of Robert and the late Ann Siemon.  On Wednesday February 13, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer she received her wings to be with the Lord.

Mechelle was educated in the Prince George’s County Public School system, where she graduated from Parkdale High School in 1984.  She worked  for The Maryland National Park and Planning Commission for 27 years.  Most of those years were spent in the Purchasing Division of the Finance Department.

Mechelle married the love of her life Mark on June 14, 1986 and from this union two sons were born, Nickalaus and Zachary.  Mechelle was a devoted wife and mother.  Her love for family, friends and her co-workers was undeniable.  She never failed to go out of her way to help.  She was a wonderful, kind, and caring person.

Mechelle was never afraid to try something new.  At age 45, she joined a roller derby team.  Her roller derby name was Momma Throws Down and when it came to bouts, she did throw down.

She leaves to cherish her memories:  husband,  Mark,  sons,  Nick (Vanessa Ocasio) and  Zach (KeShyra); father,  Robert Siemon ;  brothers,  Derek,  Kevin and Shawn  Siemon;  sisters,  Dawn Hall and Lisa Chase; a host of nieces and nephews, and a host of  very special and devoted cousins, family and friends.
