Michael Phillip DeNardo Senior passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025 at home. He was a proud father to Alessandra and Michael Jr, a proud grandfather to Jack and Juliana, and a proud and devoted husband for 47 years to his wife Susan. He led a kind and peaceful life and spent over 45 years owning and operating the iconic A&M Cycle in Old Bowie MD. His passion for bicycling enabled him to interact with and help his many customers through the years. In addition to selling and fixing bikes, he enjoyed collecting and restoring antique bicycles, some of which were featured at the Smithsonian Museum
Michael also was passionate about and loved art, poetry, and all animals and living things around him. His children have vivid memories of him going out of his way to make sure all living things were not harmed by humans and remained in the circle of life. He continued working until just a year before he passed away, and in his later years developed a passion for writing. He wrote and published several books under the I.Michele trilogy, and his latest work of art was a children's book for his grandchildren called Jack and Julianna's Great Adventure. He continued to write almost every day until his time on earth came to an end. He enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful life, and showed his love through solving problems, helping others, and acts of service and kindness. He will truly be missed by all who knew him, and were touched by his compassionate soul. He is now looking down on us from heaven with a smile, encouraging us to "Enjoy the ride!”
