Michael V. Hoza

Michael V. Hoza (1934-2020) passed away Monday, November 30, 2020. 

He graduated from Beth Joint High School and attended St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA.  Mike was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. Traveling to multiple countries and always had a story to share about each one.  He was a dedicated employee of the Giant Food store chain.  He ended up retiring after working 30+ years.  Mike was an avid sports fan.  He was loyal to his PA and MD teams.  He could talk sports nonstop and could always rattle off the stats for each game.

He loved his family dearly.  Always going to sporting events, birthdays, communions, weddings, you name it he was there.  He leaves to cherish his memory his loving brothers, Frank E. and John K. Sr. (Betty), nieces Debbie (Kenny), Kelley (Tom), Lauren (Ryan) and nephew John K. Jr. (Jaime) and his “greats” Samantha, Luke, Charli and Blake.  Cousins LaVerne Hametz (Jean, Karen & Mark), Carolyn Tiza and Marianne Painter (Jim, Amy & Chrissy).  And a host of other relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be held at Beall Funeral Home, 15901 Excalibur Road, Bowie, MD on Tuesday the 8^th from 10-noon.  Mass to follow at St. Edward the Confessor, 1940 Mitchellville Road, Bowie, MD at 1:00pm.

Burial will be at Mount St. Macrina Cemetary, 500 W. Main Street, Uniontown, PA 15401 on Wednesday the 9^th at 1:30pm.

We ask those in attendance to follow CDC guidelines to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
