Michael W. Walker

Michael Wingfield Walker was born on May 25, 1945 in Washington, DC to the late Deacon Harold and Mabel (Glenn) Walker and departed this life after an extended illness on August 20, 2018. He was one of 7 children born to Harold and Mabel. He was preceded in death by four of his siblings. They include Eula “Nikki” Holt, Harold Walker, Alberta Moffitt and Maxine Morgan.

Mike leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 44 years, Janet Ryan Walker, his five children: Brian (Stacy) Sanders, Michelle (Marc) Beasley, Kimberly (Donnell) Troy, Tracey Walker, and Stephanie (Anthony) Reliford; nine grandchildren: Clarice (Anthony) Brown, Michael Woods, Evander Woods, Brianna Sanders (Kai McCaine), Taivon Pounds, Brian Sanders, Jr., Donnell Troy, Jr. David Troy, and Taylor Troy; eight great-grandchildren: Julian Cruz, Jacob Williams, Eara McCaine, Auset Williams, Zaire Woods, Ajani Brown, Tre’mir Pounds, and Kion Woods; two sisters: Katherine Kenion and Debora Jones; one brother: Alvin (Beverly) Hughes and one sister-in-law Judy (Michael) Hogan, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
