Michelle Martine (LaBarbera) Ralston, 53, most recently of Glen Burnie, MD, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 after a courageous eight-year battle with breast cancer. She was born August 25, 1967 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Dr, Rosario (Roy) and Carmel Cuttita LaBarbera. Michelle grew up in Mountain Lakes New Jersey, graduating from Villa Walsh Academy in 1985. She attended Marquette University, majoring in language and international business and graduating in 1989. Michelle’s warm heart and vibrant personality guided her early career path to managing a Disney store before accepting a position as a marketing manager for a large real estate developer. During this time, her enthusiasm for food and cooking led her to attend culinary school at nights. While working in Virginia, she met her future husband. Of all Michelle’s achievements, her greatest accomplishment was in raising two daughters.
Although career opportunities required the family to relocate to Virginia, Florida, Connecticut and Maryland, Michelle steadfastly ensured that her daughters' academic needs were met and exceeded.
Michelle is survived by Jim, her husband of 22 years, her daughters Nicole and Aleya, both of Glen Burnie, Maryland and her parents Roy and Carmel LaBarbera.
Michelle's family will be receiving guests at the Beall Funeral Home on Monday April 5 between the hours of 1 - 3 PM.
Michelle’s family would also like to extend a heart-felt Thank You to the staff of the Hospice On The Chesapeake for the caring and compassion they extended to Michelle and her family during her stay.
