Born December 1, 1988 at 9:52 am, Myshara Christiana Keene (Tootie) was born to her loving parents Charmayne C. Keene and William R. White at Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington, D.C. Myshara’s birth was a blessing to the family, as she was adored and loved by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and especially her cousins, Ricky, Bryan, Sean, and Kelsey.
In her early years, Myshara spent a vast amount of time with her grandparents, “Dada” and “Mama”, who helped care for her until she was of age to attend preschool. During these years, Myshara would also spend and enjoy many summers with her Aunt, “MaDoll” and Uncle Rick attending soccer, football, and basketball games for her cousins, as well as, traveling for family vacations to the Poconos, Niagara Falls, and Virginia Beach. “MaDoll” and Uncle Rick delighted in and cherished Myshara’s presence as if she were a daughter of their own. Tootie loved spending time with her cousins, Ricky, Bryan, and Sean. Shara was a little sister to Ricky and Bryan, and a big sister to Sean, who she was a little more than a year older than. Because of their closeness in age, Tootie and Sean spent an immense amount of time together, often playing for hours a day. Sean would repeatedly tell his mom, “Mommy, I am going to marry Myshara when I grow up”, but we all knew that would not happen (lol).
Growing up, Myshara resided in Montgomery County, MD and was educated in their public-school system. She attended Montgomery Blair High School and graduated in 2006. After graduating, she quickly began to sow the same seeds that were sewn into her during her early childhood years by providing health care to her ailing grandmother. Myshara loved caring for others!! Caring for others was a gift from God. She became so inspired by her love to care for others that she decided to attend Sanford Brown Institute in Landover, MD. During her tenure at the institute, she was offered an internship at the office of Dr. Alpha T. Banks. In 2011, Myshara would graduate from the institute becoming a Certified Medical Assistant and her internship at Dr. Alpha T. Banks became full time employment. After working there for a few years, Myshara would then transition to a new position at the Fenton Family Dental office in Clinton, MD. She was hired as a receptionist, but because she was such an attentive learner, she was quickly promoted to Patient Coordinator, and served in that capacity until she left in February 2020. Soon after, she was hired as a Medical Assistant at the office of Dr. Andrew Dobin in Bowie, MD., and continued to serve in that capacity until her untimely passing.
As an adult, Myshara had a special love for the many children in her life and the children had a special love for her. Her loving and infectious presence caused the children to gravitate towards her and they loved playing with their “Shara”. She was very protective of them and always advocated for their best interest. They were her babies and their innocence and unconditional love brought her true happiness. At an early age Tootie established a love for reading. She would read hundreds of books and kept them in crates. As she got older, and the digital age took precedence, she would carry her iPad everywhere she went so she could read when she had the chance. She loved books from author Nicole Black, Jasmine Barber (A Forever Kind of Love Books), and the Fifty Shades of Grey. Shara was also a “foodie” but was a picky “foodie” (lol). She was not a fan of breakfast, but loved cheesy and Italian foods, like lasagna and baked ziti. If it were a cheesy meal, she would add more cheese!
She enjoyed watching Grey’s Anatomy, Dr. Pimple Popper, Save The Last Dance, Chrisley Knows Best, animal and veterinarian TV shows, along with a genuine love for dogs. She always wanted a Cavapoo. Although she loved watching animal shows, she was afraid of squirrels and birds. If a bird flew over her head, she would run terrified and if a squirrel were near her, she would turn the other direction (lol).
Myshara will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. She was beginning to find herself, her confidence, and growing into a beautiful young woman that was suddenly taken away from her loved ones, too soon. Tootie leaves to cherish her precious memories, her Mother, Charmayne C. Keene; Father, William R. White; Brother, William Dicks; Aunts, Hannah G. Henry (Great-Aunt), Myrna C. K. Shields “MaDoll” (Godmother), Alexzeen Wilkerson, Karen Paige, and Brenda Tucker; Uncles, Elbert O. Keene, Jr., Richard E. Shields, Sr., Michael White; a Stepmom, Debra Hosang; Godmother, Wendy Whitley; Yolanda Burke (Mama Bear); Vernethia Fuller (Her Sissy) and many cousins and friends. Myshara also had a Special Friend, Maurice D. Respass of Washington, DC.
