Nancy Sussan Faass, beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter and grandmother and great

1929, to the late Anna Feyko and Andrew Whitco. Upon graduation from high school in Pottstown, PA, she began employment at The Bell Telephone Company and quickly advanced to a supervisory position. Some of her fondest teenage memories include church activities, singing in a local swing band, trips to the ocean and visiting her Aunt Helen and Uncle George, a General Practitioner in Cottage City, MD, where she would help care for her dear nieces and nephew during the summer months and learn about the world of medicine, which sparked a keen interest that remained with her throughout her life.

In the early 1950's she was introduced to Robert (Bob) Temple Faass, Sr., during the wedding of her
sister, Margaret Ann {Maggie) to Woody Eastman. Bob and Nancy were married in May 1953 and were in their 69th year of marriage when Bob passed away in 2022. They had six children, 13 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Nancy was a devout Catholic and was raised in the Byzantine rite. She was an active member of both St. Matthias Apostle Church in Lanham, MD, and St. Gregory of Nyssa Byzantine Catholic Church in Beltsville, MD.

Nancy was preceded in death by her spouse Robert Sr., her parents, Anna and Andrew, her sister
Maggie, and her children, David Lawrence (Larry) and Robert (Bob)Temple Faass, Jr. She is survived by her children Margaret Ann {Charles), Mary Catherine, Benedict Joseph {Wendy), Michael Andrew
(Penelope) and her daughter in law, Christina Faass. She also is survived by her grandchildren, Nick,
Andrea, Joanna, Jillian, Christine, Coral, Ariel, Kieran, Jenna, Erika, Robert Ill, Timothy, and Jakob. Her great-grandchildren, Vivien, Sonke, Niko, Phoenix, and Lincoln, for whom all she has eternal love.

Nancy's spouse, Bob Sr., wrote many loving letters and poems during their marriage. We would like to share the poem

Nancy

Nancy you are my love, my strength
Through you and the Lord's peace comes
And flows in the quenching tremors
Of a godless place
Take heart and know
Your love is God's bright ray
That penetrates the darkest depths
And strengthens where if Falls

it builds confidence
That we, as children of the Lord
Are His own flesh
And share with Him
His living legacy of love and peace
