Nancy P. Martel

Nancy Patricia Martel (nee Sperandeo) of Glen Burnie, Maryland passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the age of 77.  She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren as she ended her battle with pancreatic cancer.  Former wife of the late Dennis C. Citrano Sr.; loving mother of four, Elena (Dan) Babcock, Annette (Bill) Snyder, Dennis Citrano II (Jennifer Scheiner), and Angela (Jose) Rivas and proud grandmother of nine grandchildren; Cayden, Reece, and Lianna Babcock; Liam, Luke and Will Snyder; and Jose, Gabriel, and Leo Rivas.  Beloved wife of the late Richard I. Martel.  Nancy also survived by her brothers Frank P Sperandeo III, Charles F Sperandeo, and Stephen A Sperandeo and several close friends.

Nancy will be remembered for her graceful way with others, her ability to make lasting friendships wherever she went, and for her compassion and great love of animals.  She is known as a second mom to many and will surely be miss by all.  Nancy’s talents were unsurpassed.  She mastered many from cooking and gardening to sewing or fixing anything you challenged her with.  One of her greatest hobbies was training dogs.  Nancy had a natural ability to captivate and hold the attention of animals of all kinds.  She also worked as a manicurist and a professional wedding photographer.  Nancy lived and loved a full life keeping close all those she deeply cared for.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Center 2325 York Rd., Timonium, MD 21093 on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 4 to 7 where a memorial service will be held immediately following.  Interment is private.
