Nancy G. Whitlow

Nancy G. Whitlow of Berwyn Heights, MD was called home to the good Lord on Saturday, September 28. 2019. She was born on June 21, 1952 in Charlotte, North Carolina, to the late Herman Price and the late Mary Hayden. Nancy was one of three children: Linda Trinchet (deceased) and James Price (deceased). 

Nancy was a homemaker who took pride in taking care of her home. She loved doing yard work and planting her beautiful rose bushes.  Nancy’s biggest pride while being a devoted Mother was taking care of her special needs son, David which was a 24/7 job.  She didn’t need to be a registered nurse to learn how to take care of David, she learned everything on her own and she did an amazing job taking care of him for 36 years. 

Nancy was a true inspiration to those who knew her, and she always put others above herself.  Her strength spoke very highly of what a great woman Nancy was and that itself was remarkable. Nancy’s favorite big meal to cook every year for the family was Thanksgiving.  She loved bringing the family together and the happiness on her face showed it.  She had the best potato salad and would never share her recipe!  She called it “Nancy’s favorite kept secret”. She loved kids and enjoyed having them around. When her great-nephews and great-nieces were younger, they couldn’t say “Nancy”, so they came up with their own name for her which was “Sassy”.  She loved her nickname and as the children got older, they continued to call her “Sassy”.  

Nancy is survived by her husband James of 43 years, two sons Kenneth (Leslie) and David, three grandchildren Kenneth Jr., Kayla, Damonte, two nephews Michael, Nelson and two nieces Angela, Lisa and a host of great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
