Nannie Maxine Dozier

Nannie Maxine Dozier passed away peacefully, at the age of 90, in her home on August 29, 2020.Maxine was born in Washington DC on July 13, 1930 where she lived with her grandmother, mother, aunt, and two sisters. She attended Dunbar High School and worked for the treasury department for many years. She later worked at Geico Insurance Company. Maxine moved to Bowie, MD in 1977 and retired soon after. She loved traveling, reading, astronomy, playing mahjong at the senior center and was an avid foodie and star trek fan.

Maxine is preceded in death by her husband Elliott J. Dozier Sr. She is survived by her children Carolyn Glodt and William Dozier, grandchildren Brian Glodt, Adrienne Baker and Stephen Glodt, great grandchildren Savannah Baker and Hadley Baker and a multitude of other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held on September 11, 2020, 11AM to 1PM, at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 Crain Highway, Bowie, MD 20715.

Burial will immediately follow at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 4001 Suitland Rd, Hilcrest Heights, MD 20746.
