Nikolaos D. Takounakis

On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, Nikolaos Dimitrios Takounakis of Riverdale, Maryland went home to be with the Lord. Nikolaos passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Nikolaos Dimitrios Takounakis was born in Kymi Evias, Greece on July 11, 1937, to the late Maria Ntakounakis. Nikolaos was one of four children: George Ntakounakis (deceased), Costantinos Ntakounakis (deceased), and John Takounakis (deceased).

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 loving years, Evangelia Takounakis, and also by his children Maria Hoffman and husband James Hoffman, Alex Takounakis, and wife Dyan Takounakis, Loula Naughton and husband Mike Naughton, Georgio Takounakis and partner Jeff Haddad. Loving grandfather of Carolynn Stallings, Nikolaos Takounakis, Kevin Naughton, Lisa Naughton, Valerie Lewtas, and Steven Naughton. Loving great grandfather of Dylan White Jr, Isaac White, Evangelia White, Layla Lewtas, Kellan Lewtas, and Jonah Lewtas.

Nikolaos was an inspiration to his family, friends, and all others whom he knew. He will continue to be missed and loved by all those who knew him.
