Norma Conto Deasy

Norma Conto Deasy, age 83, passed away on September 27, 2018.  She was born on January 17, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA and was a long-term resident of both Bowie, MD and Lewes, DE, but lived in the Memory Care Unit of Bayleigh Chase in Easton, MD at the time of her death.

Norma married Peter L. Conto in 1952.  Pete predeceased her in 1992.  In 1995, she married James G. Deasy who passed away in 2015.

Norma will be lovingly missed by her sons Pete Conto (Lynn), Mike Conto (Mary), Frank Conto (Sue) and her step-daughters Maureen Bartlett, Betty Ryan (Joe), Bridget Wheatley (Mike), Kathy Heverly (Bob), her 21 grandchildren, and her 13 great grandchildren.

She is survived by her sister Peggy Cook and brother Tommy Godfrey.  Her sister Betty Webster predeceased Norma.

In addition to raising her 3 sons, Norma was an Administrative Assistant at GMAC for 35 years.  She was an avid Redskins fan and a horse racing enthusiast.  Her loving nature will be missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Norma’s life will begin on Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Chapel, 16501 Annapolis Rd., Bowie, MD.  Reception immediately following at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 6111 Columbian Way, Bowie, MD.
