Norma Marano Pronko, age 97, passed away on May 8, 2023 surrounded by her family.
She was born in New York City on September 12, 1925,was a long time resident of Berwyn Heights, MD., and was a parishioner at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for many years.
She married Andrew Stephen Pronko on June 23, 1945 at Saint Francis of Assisi Church in Brooklyn, New York.
She and Andrew had five children.
Norma took pride as a devoted and loving mother. Her children were her life.
She and Andrew were fabulous dancers. Norma loved to do the Can-Can to Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York" and "The Chicken Dance" with all the children, even into her nineties.
She love animals, especially her many cats and was an avid backyard bird enthusiast.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carmela Molinari Marano and Antonio Marano, sisters Ida Marano Esposito and Mary Marano Palmeri, husband Andrew Stephen Pronko, son Stephen Michael Pronko and great-grandson Hunter Stephen.
She is survived by her children Andrea Pronko Jones (Bernie, deceased), Raymond Pronko, Lawrence Pronko and Anthony Pronko, daughter-in-law Stacy L. Pronko (Stephen), niece Joanne Palmeri Egan (Robert), grandchildren Lisa Jones Jackson, Janine Jones Hartley (Jason), Karen Jones Bryan (Matthew), Andrew Joseph (AJ) Pronko, Daniel Pronko and Andrew Sullivan, her eleven great grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren.
