Ouida B. Moore

On Sunday, February 14, 2021, we lost our cherished mother Ouida Moore.  She was our family’s matriarch and unifying force.  It is appropriate that she left us on Valentine’s Day as her entire adult life was dedicated to her love of family.  Mom demonstrated the importance of family and shared her love easily and willingly.  She takes a piece of our hearts with her but the remainder is full of nothing but happy memories.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers that you use our mother as an example and show your love to someone that you care about.

She was the devoted wife of 60 years to Don Moore, loving father to Donald Jr. (Karen), Russell, Ouida Anne Fluck (Alan), David (deceased), Todd (Lisa), Melinda Smyth (Tim), Daniel (Amy), dear sister to Rex and Herbert Blagg; Grandmother and Great-Grandmother to many.  She is, of course, irreplaceable and will be deeply missed by all.  She was the last of her generation within our family and her loss feels like the passing of a torch.  We, her descendants, will do our best to follow her lead and love those around us with the same intensity that she demonstrated to us.
