Patricia Ann Booker transitioned from this life to receive her heavenly crown on September 5, 2022, surrounded by her daughter Christine M. Stewart-Adkins and her granddaughters Alexis G. Adkins and Dominique T.A. Smith and her spiritual daughter Missionary Wilhelmina Thomas at the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center.
Patricia was born on March 4, 1954, in Cheverly, Maryland to her parents, James A. Stewart and Margaret T. Stewart (Fletcher) (deceased). She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Chief Apostle Dr. Craig A. Booker, her one and only daughter Christine M. Stewart-Adkins, two granddaughters Dominique T.A. Smith (Rodney), Alexis G. Adkins, two great-grandchildren Alijah and Aaliyah Smith and her sister Margaret Cash (Stewart). Two special spiritual daughter’s Missionary Wilhelmina Thomas and Sharon Childress who was always by her side and taking care of her as if she was their own mother. Also, a special spiritual son Elder Keith Coates who she trusted with her care.
Patricia was raised in Fairmont Heights, Maryland. She attended Prince George’s County Public Schools. She graduated from Central High School with the class of 1972. That fall, she enrolled at “then” Bowie State College majoring in business management while working as a clerk-typist through the college work program. Patricia was also the editor for the college newspaper. During that period, she went to work for the Federal Government working as a Meteorologist Reproduction Technician for the Department of Commerce’s National Weather Service in Camp Springs, Maryland. In 1981, she went to work for the Department of Commerce’s National Marine Fisheries as a Secretary. In 2013, she retired from the Federal Government.
Patricia received the gift of Salvation through Apostle Michelle Butler of Sonship Ministries and joined the Ministries along with many others that God divinely put together. She also came under the leadership of Apostle Paul Adams of Jesus Way Church.
Patricia met her husband Craig A. Booker while in Sonship Ministries, the two became one on December 21, 1996. It was prophesied that they would be pastoring within a year. After being ordained by Apostle Carroll Waston of Cambridge, Maryland, God’s word came to pass on October 26, 1997. They held their first service in their home under the name of True Deliverance and Sanctification Ministries at 1107 Curled Oaks Place, Capital Heights, Maryland. As God began to give them the revelation of the Apostolic Doctrine, the name of the church was later changed to True Deliverance and Sanctification Apostolic Church, many souls were saved under their ministry. God blessed Pastor Patricia and her husband with a building on September 30, 2000, at 7740 Marlboro Pike, Forestville, Maryland where God led them to change the name again to Christ Apostolic Deliverance Temple (CADT). In December 2009 CADT was relocated to 7181 Old Alexandria Ferry Road, Clinton, Maryland. During the summer of 2016 once again, God put in their spirit to change the name to its current name Apostolic Faith Deliverance Temple, Inc. Pastor Booker was a powerful woman of God who operated in the prophetic as a prophetess, teacher and a preacher. She was called to teach woman how to be women and wives to the men of God.
Pastor Booker’s favorite word was “Unity” she believed strongly about unity among everyone! She loved her armer bearer Evangelist Diana Bailey who took very good care of her Pastor in church. She really loved her church family to life.
My mother fought a good fight to the end of her life. Despite how much pain and suffering she endured she never failed to praise and worship her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whenever she was conscious. We talked, read, sang and prayed for her every day because it calmed her down when she heard the name of Jesus. We never left her alone. It was always me, Alexis, Dominique and Missionary Thomas (Mina) at her bedside every 39 days she was there. My mom would say to us “Imma be alright, don’t worry about me”. She said, “Chris you go home and rest yourself” “Lexie you go back to school and get your education”, “Dominique you go home and be with little man (Alijah) and little mama (Aaliyah)”, “Missionary Thomas thank you for being here with me”, My mom woke me up on my birthday August 31st and sang Happy Birthday to me. I was sleeping beside her in a chair, and I heard her singing to me (I recorded it). I cried like a baby. That was the best gift I could ever ask for.
Pastor Patricia was preceded in death by brother Charles Stewart, sister Louise Griffin, brother Louis Stewart, brother Frank Stewart, brother James Stewart, brother Joesph Stewart, brother George Stewart. She leaves behind a host family and friends.
