Patricia Ann Goodman

Patricia Ann (Stermer) Goodman died peacefully December 3rd, 2021 in Elkridge, Maryland.  Pat was born August 10, 1936 in Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, the first child of Russell E. and Ruth N. (Sehner) Stermer.  She was raised in Sunbury, Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State University in 1958.  After graduating, Pat moved to Washington, D.C. to work at the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center where she met her husband, Charles Kyle Goodman.  They were married on September 6, 1959.  Pat and Charlie had seven children.  They made their home and raised their family in Kettering, Maryland where Pat resided for 40 years.  First and foremost, Pat was a devoted, loving mother to her children.  Her love and giving are unsurpassed.  Pat was also a daycare director and teacher at Childtime Children’s Center in Largo, MD where she worked for 20 years.  She was predeceased by her husband Charles Kyle Goodman and their daughter Janet Lee Goodman.  Pat is survived by her sister Christine E. Sauers of Montoursville, PA; six children, Steven Goodman of Crofton, Robert Goodman (Cindy) of Davidsonville, MD, Jeffrey Goodman (Bindia) of Terrytown, LA, Thomas Goodman (Amy) of Arnold, MD, Sandra Heinicke (Joe) of Bowie, MD and James Goodman (Jaime) of Arnold, MD; ten grandchildren, Alexandre, Dominic, Charles, Chaz, Devon, Patrick, Grant, Revati, Elijah, and Jaci; two step-grandchildren, Amanda  and Jenna; and two great grandchildren Liliana and Maxson.  Family will receive friends at the wake, Sunday, December 12, 2021, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at Beall Funeral Home 6512 NW Crain Highway (Rt. 301 South), Bowie, MD.  A funeral and burial will be held Monday, December 13, 2021, 11:30 a.m. at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 14111 Oak Grove Rd, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774 with repass immediately following.
