Patricia Hayes-Hunt was born Patricia Ann Washington on September 15, 1950 in Washington D.C. to Russell and Irene Washington. Her childhood was spent with family and friends, where she learned her gift of nurturing others. As she grew and explored career options, she would often say that she simply wanted to be a mother. She became just that and also extended a loving home to foster care children and adoption. Her real career field was in special education, where she became a mother to many. She was so much more than just a teacher, or therapist. Patricia flowed, like water, through the cracks and breaches to fill any and all voids in these children's lives. "The hardest people to love are the one's who need it the most", was the motto that she lived by. Providing a nurturing and loving environment wherever she went, was her gift and cooking was her talent. Whatever her recipe, you could always taste a little love mixed in there too. God's angel has been called back home, but she is survived by her two sons and two daughters. George Hayes, Jordan Hayes, Jasmine Hayes-Adams and Chelsea Hayes.
