Patsy Pamela Henry, devoted mother, affectionate grandmother, great grandmother and caring sister, entered this life on August 19, 1950 in Guyana, South America. Patsy, affectionately known as "Ruby" was nicknamed after her beloved aunt Ruby Richmond. Patsy was a gift from God born to the late James Lionel Henry and Mary Ann Enid Henry. She was the first female child of her parents' seven children in Guyana.
Patsy and her siblings regularly reminisced on festive family gatherings and visits from extended family members on Broadway in Brooklyn, New York during the holidays. There was always a reason for celebration in the Henry family home on the weekends with Patsy's cheerful demeanor and infectious laughter. Patsy will be remembered for her love for cooking; in which she inherited from her late mother Mary Ann Henry and her ability to waltz and twirl around the dance floor with her brother Alfred aka as "Freddt.
Patsy was raised and educated in Guyana, South America with her siblings. She migrated to New York in the late 1960's with her siblings. Patsy attended Mackenzie High School where she excelled in her secretarial skills; in which she soared in typing at a speed of 90+ (wpm) words per minute. After graduating from Mackenzie High School, her Mom and Dad encouraged her to pursue her gift of business skills at a local commercial school, where she graduated top of her class.
Patsy met and married Ralph Oliver Williams and that union produced her pride and joy of her life- her two beloved children Sharon Agatha Williams and Michelle Marie Williams whom she often called her two little "kitty cats." After her divorce from Ralph, Patsy met and married Benjamin Frasier. With his failing health, soon after their blossoming marriage, Patsy lost the love of her life. Being the industrious and career conscientious person that she was, Patsy forged onward with her life and she sought comfort in assisting Sharon and Michelle to raise her grandchildren.
Patsy worked for over 30+ years in the financial industry on Wall Street at prestigious financial institutions such as American Express and IBJ Schroder Bank and Trust. She was very dedicated and passionate about her professional career in an industry that demanded a formal education. With the skills and experience that she brought to the financial industry workforce, Patsy went from Data Entry Clerk to Financial Securities Analyst within (10) ten years. She has always had a strong work ethic and conviction to excel in anything that she set forth to do; in which she instilled upon her two daughters. Patsy strongly believed that "hard work and dedication pays off in the end". She worked tirelessly to raise Sharon and Michelle to ensure their success in their endeavors. As she so affectionately referred to as her "two little kitty-kats." They could always know when their mom demanded their attention when she called out to them often mixing up their names intentionally to make them laugh.
As her small family started to expand, Sharon and Michelle enlargened her small family by blessing her life with nine grandchildren and three great-great children. When Patsy retired, from IBJ Schroder Bank and Trust she spent most of her retirement time with her grandchildren in both homes; in which she found most rewarding and fulfilling. When Michelle moved to Maryland, it disturbed Patsy that her children were separated, so ·she moved to Maryland with Michelle. Soon after, Sharon followed and they all lived nearby to spend time with her.
On April 13, 2019, the Lord called Patsy Pamela Henry home to rest. Her strong personality, contagious laughter has undoubtedly permeated and imprinted their hearts and homes of both Sharon and Michelle. Patsy will surely be missed by all that loved and adored her.
