Paul Carl Jacob of Crofton, Maryland passed away with his wife at his side at his home on October 2, 2019. He was 57 years old. Paul was born in Northfield, Minnesota to Klaus and Donna Jacob. He lived in Fulton, Missouri during his childhood and graduated from Fulton High School in 1981.
Paul served in the United States Marine Corps from September 1981 until March 1998. His service took him around the world to Beirut, Korea, and many other cities and countries. During his service he lived in North Carolina and Hawaii for several years. When he talked about the places he had been in the world it was usually in reference to his time in the corps.
Paul worked at Applied Network Solutions as a Systems Engineer. He was a dedicated employee and continued to work throughout his illness. He often talked of his friends at work.
Paul enjoyed playing golf with his group at Andrews Air Force Base, bowling and playing pool. He spent his weekends watching sports and following his favorite golfers, Nascar driver, baseball team the Minnesota Twins and especially his football teams the Mizzou Tigers and Minnesota Vikings.
Paul married Stephanie on September 15, 2007. From that weekend forward life was a trip they shared together. He enjoyed driving, never in a hurry, often taking the scenic route, stopping for coffee or meals and meeting up with friends and family along the way. Many memories were made traveling by train and sleeping in tents.
Everyone loved Paul. He brought joy to life and was fun to be around. He loved his family and friends deeply.
Paul is survived by his wife, Stephanie, sons, Alex Kopin and Ryan Kopin, daughter, Lucy Kopin, mother and father, Donna and Klaus Jacob, sister and brother in law, Pam Jacob and Robert Nelson, brother and sister in law, Pat and Betsy Jacob, mother in law, Janet Hibbs, sister in law Michele Howd, brother in law Craig Hibbs, nieces, Sheryl Farris, Crystal Howd and Hannah Howd, nephew James Farris, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
