On Thursday, April 9, 2020, Paula Parrott, a servant of the Lord, rested. Paula was born on December 20, 1946 in Washington, DC to late Samuel and Margaret White, and spent her life in the area.

Paula began her career in the Federal government and retired from the Department of Labor. She was a faithful member for over 20 years of New Samaritan Baptist Church where she was active in the Administrative Ministry and the Senior Choir. She also loved playing pokeno with the Sophisticated Ladies Pokeno Club; and enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her loved ones.

Paula leaves behind three children and their spouses, Kimberly (Ray Brown), Keith (Paulisa Parrott), and Katrina (Jason Martin); 5 grandchildren, Whitney (William), Ahmad, Brandon, Me'Yatta, and Amiah; 4 great grandchildren (RJ, Ahlani, Willian, Whitley; 1 sister, Sheila Lucas and 4 brothers, Melvin, Milton, Danny and Ennis; 2 sister in laws, Bessie and Lela; and a host of family and friends.

Due gathering restrictions, there will be a private service and limited access to visitation.
