Peter George Vailas

Peter George Vailas was born on June 3, 1925 in Kasos, Greece. He passed away on May 28, 2021.

He was the devoted son of the late Reverend George and Presvetera Efrosini Vailas and beloved husband of the late Anna Vailas (nee Tsottles).  He is survived by his dear children Cynthia Popomaronis (William), Georgette Calomeris (Louis - deceased), and Maria Angelos (Charles). Also survived by grandchildren Eleni & Craig Bowden, Anna & Arthur Montauredes, Thomas & Brittany Popomaronis, Maria Elena & Brent Hawkins, Petros Calomeris, Constantine (Dean) Angelos, Alexandra Angelos and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Virginia Pilatos (Theodoros – deceased) , the late Michael and Kaliopi Vailas, the late Nick and Maria Vailas and the late Maria Gianarakis nee Vailas (George – deceased). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews & cousins.

He was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in New Haven, Connecticut and was the owner of the Bridge Restaurant in downtown Baltimore for 25 years.

Visitation will be held at the Chapel of the Holy Resurrection at the Greek Orthodox Cemetery, 5917 Windsor Mill Rd, Woodlawn, Maryland, 21207, on Wednesday June 2, 2021 from 10AM - 11AM when the funeral service will begin. Internment immediately following in the cemetery.
