On Saturday, November 27, 2021, Randall F. Buckley, loving husband, friend, and father of three, passed away at the age of 81. Ron, known as Randy to many, was born on May 10, 1940, in Philadelphia, PA to Randall and Frances R. (Bradley) Buckley. He worked at the General Motors Fisher Body Guide Plant in Trenton, NJ, for 29 years starting as an apprentice die maker and retiring as a senior engineer in 1989. Ron was a competitive bowler and professional archer who achieved perfect scores in both sports. He enjoyed SCUBA and was a certified NAUI dive instructor. He coached baseball and football at the Bensalem Ramblers Youth Organization and later at Bensalem High School, and he was known as ‘Coach Buck’ to hundreds of young athletes. He was also a founding member of the Liberty Region Corvette Club who cherished his award winning 1981 Vette “Ghost Ship”. He suffered a SCUBA accident in 1989 that nearly left him paralyzed from the neck down, but good fortune and painstaking physical therapy at St. Mary’s Hospital allowed him to walk again. He enjoyed woodworking and carved intricate canes that helped him to walk later in life. He was outgoing, enthusiastic, and always happiest when surrounded by friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Judith A. (Guiteras) Buckley, by his brother James Buckley, and by his parents. He is survived by his children Randall, Debra, and Daniel, by his 6 grandchildren, and by a great many family and friends with whom he shared his love of life. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date to be announced.
