Ray Edward Willhide 61, of Hyattsville, MD passed away on June 7, 2021, from injuries sustained in a car accident. Ray was predeceased by his mother Sandy. He is survived by siblings Judeth Davis and William (Lisa) Porter, his daughters Heather and Cassidy, nieces Emily, Olivia, and Genevieve, nephew Sam, goddaughter Meghan and hosts of aunts and uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Ray was a proud graduate of Gonzaga College High School who was always a voracious reader and never failed to astonish with the amount of knowledge he had on any subject. He spent most of his professional life working in construction, specializing in concrete foundations. Though rough and tumble on the outside, you could never judge him by his outward appearance. Smart, funny, and always ready with a crossword answer, those that knew him will miss his wit and charisma.
