Raymond “Ray” Luther Rhine, age 91, of Silver Spring, MD, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, October 28, 2018 at Riderwood Village. Born February 10, 1927 in Baltimore MD, he was the son of the late Luther and Hattie Rhine.
Ray was a respected lawyer for the Federal Trade Commission for 30 years. After his retirement, he served as a mediator for 10 years in the DC Superior Court, assisting in resolving Family Matters cases. He lived in Maryland his entire life and enjoyed the beaches in Rehobeth and Ocean City. Ray was deeply committed to his family including three generation of grandchildren.
Ray is survived by his partner of 20 years Marilyn Turner. Ray had five children, Raymond and Tanya Rhine of Tucson, AZ, Stephen and Anne Rhine of Bowie, MD, Mark Rhine of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Eric and Maria Rhine of Glen Burnie, MD and Beth and Paul Cramer of Washington, DC. Twelve grandchildren, Jennifer, Raymond, Stephanie, Eric, Samantha, Nicole, Kimberly, Justin, Megan, Christina, Amanda, and Rebecca. Eight great-grandchildren, Shawn, Joseph, Kayleigh, Liam, Madelyn, Chase, Carson and Morgan. Two great-great-grandchildren, Genesis and Shawn, Jr.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 10am to 11:30am at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rt 3 South), Bowie, MD, where a funeral service will take place at 11:30am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, MD.Saturday, November 3, 2018
