Richard H. Boell

Richard Harold Boell, formerly of Bowie, passed away at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home on September 30, 2019 at the age of 87. Richard was born in Springfield, Ohio on April 12, 1932 to Harold and Dorothy Boell. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara Boell of 48 years and daughter Sharon Langmaid. He is survived by his son, David Boell and daughter, Carol Milstead, her husband, John Milstead, and four grandchildren, Tiffaney Langmaid, Michelle Langmaid, Kylie Milstead and Peyton Milstead.

Richard graduated from Northwestern University. He served in Korea and Japan with the US Navy during the Korean War, retired as an industrial engineer for the US Postal Service, volunteered as a coach for SBBGC sports and provided computer assistance to the seniors at the Bowie Senior Center. He enjoyed spending time with his family, sailing and vacationing at Lake Michigan and was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers. He touched many lives by his gentle and kind nature.

A family graveside service will be held at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations are graciously accepted at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home 29449 Charlotte Hall Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622
