Robert “Bob” James Migliaccio, 60, passed peacefully at his home on Friday, August 21, 2020 after a valiant battle with cancer. He resided in Bowie, Maryland with his loving wife of 37 years, Joanne Massimini Migliaccio.
Bob was born on July 31, 1960 in Somers Point, NJ to Frank L. and Doris M. (Tighe) Migliaccio. He was a graduate of Ocean City High School and went on to become a proud Journeyman with the Iron Worker’s Local 201, where he was employed for over thirty years, sixteen years as an Apprentice Coordinator. Bob retired from Local 5 were he was the Apprentice Instructor for the last two years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Robert James, Jr. and Keith Francis Migliaccio, also of Bowie, Maryland and his beloved grandson, Jackson Mojo Migliaccio. He is also survived by his brother, Frank (Jan) Migliaccio, sisters Doris Marie (John) Rose, Sarah-Jane (Tony) Cincotti and many nieces and nephews.
Bob loved his music, along with his passions for deer hunting, gardening and watching the Philadelphia Eagles (Go Birds!), and his dreams came true when the Birds won the Super Bowl in 2018.
His passing will leave a huge void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Mr. Migliaccio’s viewing is open to family and friends on Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 Crain Highway, Bowie MD 20715. The funeral service will be private, but will be live streamed at 1 p.m.
Due to COVID19, a Celebration of Life in his honor will be held at a later date. Family and friends will be notified once the date has been set.
