Ronald Terry May

July 2, 1949 — February 27, 2022

Our beloved father, grandfather and friend was born on July 2nd 1949 and lost his life February 27th 2022.

Ron was born in Bishop, West Virgina with 9 other brothers and sisters by Frank and Catherine May. He is lived on by his daughter Jannette May-Montville, son in law James Montville, grandson Michael May, sister Cordia Wilkins, nephew Scott Wilkins, Toni May and many more nieces and nephews as well as his girlfriend Debbie Wells.

Ron served in the army during the Vietnam war and was proud to be a veteran who served our country. Rons passions were teaching himself woodworking, playing the banjo and mandolin and an astonishing love of bluegrass music, which he was so proud of he started a jam session in “the barn” every weekend. Many of his friends came to enjoy singing, playing instruments, eating lots of snacks and most of all enjoying each other's company. Ron spent much of his time in the barn learning and exploring new ways of woodworking, from making pens to beautiful pieces of furniture with his best friend of over 60 years William (Billy) Entzian.  He loved spending time in the barn and running errands with his girlfriend Debbie Wells. Showing her how to spin bowls and pens and taking her out to eat. He loved her so.

Ron had many passions in his life, the proudest being his daughter Jannette and grandson Michael. He taught his grandson mike, the things he needed to know to be the grandson he is today. He spent many days teaching his grandson how to operate heavy equipment, measuring and cutting wood. But his favorite was spending time and watching his Grandson grow and become and the successful man he is today. There is not a prouder grandfather than our beloved Dad and Grandad.
