SYPOLT, Ronald Maurice, Sr.
(1939-2020)
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Ronald Maurice Sypolt, Sr. (Prince Frederick, Md) on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at the age of 81 after a lengthy illness of pulmonary fibrosis. His family is comforted because of his strong faith in the lord which also enabled him to have more than 34 years of sobriety. Ronald will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 24 years Carol L. Sypolt. Ronald was a 1956 graduate of Rowlesburg High School Rowlesburg, W Va. where he then was enlisted with Active-Duty United States Army (1956) and continued many years in the reserves. He was then employed as a computer analyst for over 30 years with the Federal Aviation Administration until he retired in 1996. Ronald is survived by his brother Larry Sypolt (Betty) of King George VA. His children Cara Bowers (Dave) of Bowie, Joey Sypolt of Crofton, Becky Rhodes (Steve) Bowie, David Sypolt (Abbie) of Upper Marlboro and Ronald M. Sypolt, Jr. Upper Marlboro, Michael Kelley (Lisa) of Port Republic, David C. Kelley (Jess) of Lusby. He will also be fondly remembered by his 7 grandchildren Regina Stimson (Charles), Jessica Rhodes, Ronald Sypolt III, Annie Sypolt, Nicholas Kelley, Erin Kelley and Sara Kelley, and 3 great grand children Samantha, Cadance and Anna. Ronald was predeceased by his parents, Charlotte and Maurice Sypolt of Rowlesburg, W Va. and brother George Sypolt of Beaver Falls, Pa. as well as his granddaughter Crystal Marie. He will also be missed by a host of relatives and friends.
