Sandra Lee Kibler

Sandra (Sandy) Lee Kibler, 75 of Frederick, MD passed away peacefully in the early morning hours at home in the presence of family on April 14, 2022, from a long battle of lung disease (COPD).  She was born to parents Joseph and Alice Vermillon on September 10, 1946, in Washington DC.  Sandy was the youngest of seven children. She was preceded in death by brothers George and Kenny and sisters Vera and Alice.  Survived by brother William (Billy) and wife Wilma Vermillion and Joseph and Mary Jane Vermillion.   

Sandy was loved by many and was preceded in death by son Rodrick Jr. (Roddy) and is survived by son Eric and wife Kim Kibler and daughter Kendra and husband Anthony Tyler.

Grandchildren: Eric Kibler II, Preston Carmon, Tori Chamblee, Taylor Kibler
Great Grandchildren:  Skylar, Sierra, Elija Kibler, Madelyn, Liza, Aleiah Carmon, Holland Rose Chamblee
She is also survived by sister -in-law Barbara Jean and Millie Vermillion as well as many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.  She also leaves behind and loved her cats Leo, Bell and the newest member of the family, Tiffany.  Tiffany kept Sandy company and Sandy kept Tiffany full of sweet treats.  

Sandy was a cosmologist for 52 years and 32 of those years at Sherry’s Hair Salon in New Carrollton.  She loved her work and made others beautiful as beautiful as she was, inside and out.  She was known for her signature blonde, short hair style.  She was always so stylish and admired by many.   

Sandy loved cooking and baking for the family as well as spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She really enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles and Yahtzee as well as entertaining herself at bingo halls and casinos.  She loved to socialize with her clients as well as fellow gamblers.   

Sandy will be missed by many, but her love of life and spirit will live on in her family’s hearts.

At Sandy's request, she will be cremated and there will be no services.
