Scott Jeffrey Olden

Scott Jeffrey Olden, 60, passed away peacefully at Sanai Hospital last Wednesday, August 31, 2022 after a long fight with pneumonia. Scott was born on February 4, 1962 in Freeport, NY; but has lived most of his life in Bowie, Maryland.  He is survived by, Tina Cheatham, his loving girlfriend and partner for 26 years; his mother Betsy; siblings Susan, Billy (Janet), Nancy (Lawrence); nieces Victoria (Nathan), Lindsey and Shannon.

Scott started his career out of Bowie High School and became a successful Senior Telecommunications Engineer on large corporate communications systems.  He was very proud of his work always joking with Tina “I put phones in that building”.  His interests did not end with his profession, he continued to enrich his mind by studying philosophy, history, politics and art.

As a young teenager, Scott was on a professional Skateboarding team that toured and competed around Maryland and the northeast states.

His talents as an athlete spilled over to many other sports, soccer; skiing; bicycling; dirt biking; kayaking; camping and he was a marksman with weaponry (firearms and bow & arrow).

Scott was a fun loving and sensitive man who loved his family, friends and his country and will be missed by many.   A Celebration of Life, will be held on Saturday October 8^th, please contact the family for details.
