Shelly Lynn Podkowka

Shelly Lynn Podkowka was a caring mother, sister, daughter, and friend. She left this world suddenly on October ^, 4, 2023 at age 56.

She was born to Robb and Gail Podkowka on September 27, 1967. Growing up, shelly was a skilled gymnast but held appreciation for all athletics. Upon graduating from high school in Utica, NY, Shelly chased her dreams of travel and relocated to Baltimore, MD where she began work at BWI Airport. Shelly later went on to pursue a career as a registered nurse and in-home caregiver.

Being a mother to her two children: Deseree and Edward, brought her great joy and fulfillment. Shelly loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals while singing and dancing to all her classic rock favorites. Shelly had an effortlessly fun and generous spirit; she was known to give the shirt quite literally off her back to someone in need. Her lighthearted optimism made it impossible to not smile In Shelly’s company, though she was just as happy to lend a shoulder or a listening ear in a time of need. Shelly was not only loved deeply by her children, but by all who knew her. She will be sorely missed and carried forever in our hearts.
