Solomon Jude Smith

Our strong little man, Solomon Jude Smith, beloved son of Kyle Smith and Katie Martin Smith, born October 29, 2020, passed away peacefully in the arms of his parents and went to be with our Lord on Saturday, December 5th, 2020. In his short life, he impacted many with his fighting strength and gentle smile. He loved to be held, read to by his daddy, and sung to by his mommy.

A viewing and service will be held on Monday, December 14th for family and close friends of the family.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents Perry and Lori Smith; maternal grandparents Robert and Kathy Martin; paternal great grandparent Jane Woodruff; maternal great grandparents Bob Martin, and Don and Georgie Jacobsen; aunt and uncle on Kyle's side, Carson and Anna Smith; aunts and uncles on Katie's side, Bobby and Annie Martin, and Will and Mandy Cook; and many cousins who loved Solomon with all their hearts. He is preceeded in death by his maternal great-grandmother Joyce Martin; paternal great-grandfather Philip Woodruff; and his heaven-born siblings.

The family would like to thank the amazing NICU staff and specialists at Children's National who took care of Solomon during his life. The family would especially like to recognize nurses Marinell, Etobse, and Kelly and the numerous doctors for their personalized and exceptional care of Solly J.
